The immune system

The immune system is a system of biological structures such as proteins and processes that protect against disease. It has to distinguish between its own healthy cells and a wide variety of agents (round circles) ranging from viruses to parasites. White blood cells (blue) identify and eliminate these agents via antibodies (yellow and orange).
