Malaria

Malaria is an infectious disease of humans and transmitted by mosquitos. An infected mosquito carries a parasite (purple), which it introduces into a person’s blood via a bite. The parasite infects red blood cells travels to the liver and reproduces. Malaria has to be treated with medications as our own immune system can not eliminate the parasite.
